Lumora began in Mumbai, during a time when I was working a regular 9–5 job. Every evening after coming home, I felt a kind of restlessness I couldn’t explain. I was tired, but my mind wasn’t at ease. I remember lighting a candle one night, and for the first time in days, the room felt calm. It felt peaceful. A few days later, I learned that the candle I was using was made with paraffin wax, something that isn’t good for our spaces or our health. That’s when a simple thought stayed with me:

Why should something meant to bring calm actually do harm?

That question became the starting point of Lumora.

I began researching waxes available in India and discovered that white beeswax and organic soy wax are some of the safest, non-toxic options. Slowly, from home, I started experimenting, learning, testing, and understanding how candles could be made better, cleaner, and more intentional.

As Lumora grew, we introduced Sand Wax Candle a reusable candle format that isn’t widely known in India yet. It’s mess-free, easy to use, and designed for people who love candles but not the melted wax chaos. It can be refreshed and reused, making it both practical and comforting.

Lumora is my way of sharing the calm I once searched for after long workdays. Every candle is made with the hope that it gives you a quiet moment, a pause, and a sense of warmth. Just like it once gave me.
